Paris, France – “The make-up for Guy Laroche this season is chic simplicity personified”, says key make-up artist Kabuki. “The girls are fresh faced and healthy-looking with bronzed skin and clear lip gloss as focal point.”
Indeed Kabuki is well-known for his magical touch-ups, managed to take away paleness while using peach palette for the eyes and bronze powder to achieve that I-just-got-back-from-a-holiday look. In order to emphasize the cheeks, and upper part of the face, he opted for light peach and clear gloss for lips. Where the natural lip colour was too pronounced, a neutralizing was added under the gloss to maintain visual consistency on the runway.
Odile Gilbert, France’s most celebrated female hair stylist and the only woman from that profession to have received the French honour, Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, was in charge for the hair. The entire look was in order with the 90’s theme, slick and straight. Headbands were created from the model hair.
