Paris, France – Alexis Mabille, French grand couturier who perfected his craftsmanship at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, has brought a major touch of tradition and with a playful twist to the catwalks of Paris. Known for his chic and fun-loving spirit, he managed to revisit both the men’s and women’s wardrobes alike for the creation of his new Fall Winter 2017/18 ready-to-wear collection.
Over thirty different looks vary from casual ready-to-wear outfits to a unique combination of sportswear and elegant garments. The strong black basis of the collection is of a black suede sweatshirt dress embroidered with a white lace dove, black, blue; and gold brocade trousers, a ruffled dress in black lace, and a three-piece dress in black jersey with gold buttons. The more feminine twist is noticeable in a shirt in blue crêpe with mink collar, a navy silk blouse and jogging pants in midnight blue crêpe trimmed with pearl buttons on the side, white wool sweater with lace sleeves and long shirt-skirt in powder-coloured radzimir.
One of the most refreshing looks on the runway collection is definitely the pagoda jacket in denim and white mink. Gold is slowly conquering the following Fall/Winter 2017/18 season. In accordance to that, models strut in over-the-knee bright gold boots.
As usual, Mabille’s style offers a highly contemporary, cosmopolitan allure. His light, fluid and precise cuts are visible from this collection as much as from his previous ones. An elegance and natural casual attitude come together with a sporty-chic attitude, graphic lines structure the looks, and movement suggests sensuality.
