Paris, France – French designer Barbara Bui is back this season with another inspiring collection. For Fall Winter 2017/18, we find her advancing the cause of sporty designs that have been infused with a feeling of motorcycle chic.
In the spirit of those who like motorcycle culture, leather makes it presence more than obvious. The silhouettes are dominated by the material which forms an overwhelming number of the pants, the jumpsuits and outwear. The leathers are high-tech, yet softness is added to each piece through an inclusion of shearling and knit. When leather is not used to fashion an entire garment such as the white poncho top, it is used as colorful piping. And we find snake symbols represented in the collection as well in the pieces such as the sweatshirts. Barbara Bui reinterprets them this season as sequined embroideries.
This season the house is also proposing extremely tailored jackets. The blazers proposed in this collection have extreme shoulder work. These looks are finished with handbags and the boots with high heels as imagined by Bui.
