Paris, France – This season Dorhout Mees has decided to guide us into a completely new direction. She has changed her aesthetics and has decided to go the way of couture. And we find it irresistible.

In her presentation during the Paris Fashion Week, Dorhout Mees presents a small body of work for Fall Winter 2017/18. The ideas cannot be so easily translated into looks that can be easily understood from an “off the rack” point of view. Instead we find compelling designs dominated by pastel toned tulles. The looks have been decorated with hand painted roses and cheerfully colorful embroideries.

The looks that stand out far more than anything this season are dress and the jumpsuit that look as if they have been created in a mold of fabric. Though not so easy for the masses to understand, these two pieces alone form two of the most intriguing looks for the season.
