Paris, France – From Van Halen and Boy George to Lady Gaga the 80’s, the rock chic that the defined an entire generation still in style. French fashion house Faith Conneion proves its spirit is ever appreciated.
The rock dandy is the persona created with the styles presented by Faith Connexion. One can find many influences from the makeup drenched pop and rock bands of the 80’s and by their spiritual children of today. The silhouette is created by mixing various designs and textures all at once. The result comes out as trashy chic or wicked aristocrat. The old school essentials of the period are here as expressed in the heavy leather, blenched denim, hats, patches, logs and big brooches, which by the way have their moment this season.
The work is loud, visible and extremely consistent. We know that the styles don’t include much innovation, but that was never intended to be its objective. The theme chosen is always about shocking with a little something new added. This time we have an impression that we’ve seen this before in the late music videos or in archival Vogue editorials. But for the today’s young generation, it will be as sure hype and crisp as it was for the first time when hip people loved it.
