Hong Kong – Versace celebrated the new flagship store in Hong Kong Central with a Grand Opening event and Fashion Show hosted by Donatella Versace and CEO Jonathan Akeroyd.
The two-floor boutique is located at the Shanghai Commercial Bank Tower. It occupies an area of 684 square meters, blending traditional Italian architectural values with the dynamism and energy of Versace today. Fior di bosco marble and brass elements create a luxurious and contemporary ambience in which to present the prêt-à-porter and accessories collections for men and women. A meeting point between the past and the future, the boutique features fior di bosco marble floor, which creates an exclusive and unique environment while the façade is entirely in backlit onyx.
“I just adore the design concept of our new Hong Kong Versace boutique, which pays tribute to Italy’s cultural heritage. In fulfilling this project we have created a space in which the spirit of Versace can take flight”, states Donatella Versace. For me, the boutique suggests an uninterrupted dialogue between our past and future, between us and our clients”,
In celebration of this opening, Artistic Director Donatella Versace has designed a limited edition of the mini Palazzo Empire bag, covered in silver Swarovski crystals. This special bag has a detachable leather shoulder strap and is embellished with a palladium Medusa head. Every bag within the limited edition collection features a metallic tag engraved with “The Palazzo Empire celebrating Hong Kong”.
In addition, there will also be a limited number of medium and large Palazzo Empire bags available in precious skins. The handbags will come in a wide selection of colors, engraved with “Versace For Shanghai Commercial Bank Tower Hong Kong” featured on a detachable metallic tag.
On the occasion of the Grand Opening event, Versace has brought its Men and Women’s Fall Winter 2017 Collections to Hong Kong. Both Collections have been presented with a Fashion Show followed by an after party at Shaw Studios.
