Paris, France – This season, the London-trained Chinese designer Sean Suen made Paris his choice for the presentation of his new collection. In this Fall Winter 2017/18 body of work, we find large, fantasy-like lapels, huge collars and oversized, boxy shoulders. He puts these elements together on a background of wool, leather, knits, velvets, fur, etc.
The trousers are cut to all fall above the ankles. Some have cuffed ankles. And some of the cuffs are of epic proportions too. Many have a zippers in the front on the leg crease. As the legs of the pants are so slim at one point, the zippers are indispensible in order to allow the feet to pass through.
The blazers move from normal lengths to being very short-cropped (nearly to the length of bomber). This is too the case for the one gray with its double-breast cut. In its spirit, we have a longer blazer done in blond velvet. The trousers are very loosely cut and baggy. And the designer threw in for good measure a look that appears to be of the pyjama inspirations. This is one of the hottest trends of the season.
