Paris, France – For its new Spring/Summer 2018 menswear collection, Diesel Black Gold has turned out what is quite possibly one of it strongest body of work in recent memory. This is a collection for men of all ages, but who like to feel edgy and relaxed at the same time.
The colour palette is dominated by black. However it turns out that the black ends up being the backdrop against which the exciting blue and light turquoise take on more of a visual importance. They bring light to the darkness and make the composed silhouettes more daring and compelling.
In terms of proportions, the silhouettes are somewhat amply cut but fall far from being considered as “over sized”. The shirts are cut long and the shorts are spacious. However, the pants are cut very slim to the body. This even applies to the track pants in cotton jersey that have been given new life thanks to their restrictive cut. The looks are layered and are embellished with metallic studs, zippers and patches.
Diesel Black Gold has decided to work this season with both organic and technical materials. Among them are knits, cottons, weaved materials, leather and nylon.
