Paris, France – Young designer Arthur Avellano has cast his hat into the ever-growing field of designers to debut a solo collection during the men’s edition of the Paris Fashion Week. Inspired by Joël Schumacher’s cult film classic, Chute Libre, he is seeking to innovate the men’s wardrobe by working with latex. Going against the material’s implicite association to sex, the designer employs it in a manner so that is intended to make us see it in other, non-sexualized manners.

In his new Spring/Summer 2018 collection, Arthur Avellano creates sportswear and basic men’s pieces for daily attire. He spruces them up with ties, and contrasts it all with his street wear elements such as the large over coats. The result is that of a coherent body of work that convinces.
