Paris, France – Last night in Paris, the Lebanese couture star Tony Ward presented what could easily be considered as the collection of his life. Beautiful colors, daring cuts and irreproachable technique are the elements that sealed the deal for this, his new Fall Winter 2017/18 collection.
Showing at the Oratoire de Paris just off of the famed Palais Royal district of Paris, Tony Ward wasted no time in making his intentions known. He opened the show with dresses and tailleur ensembles in crimson red ! A sheath gown in silk crepe is ornamented with beautiful embroideries. It is completed with a faux ripped jacket in silk. The tailleur or two-piece skirt ensemble that followed is showcased with no blouse. The cut reveals the skin from the collar-bone and on down to the midrift. It makes for a sexy, yet elegant picture on the eyes. And finally the crimson red ballroom gown reveals all of the shoulders as it is built upon a corset. This beauty if finished with a large manifestation of crystal and sequins embroidery work.
As the show progressed we would be treated to more revealed skin at the bust, arms and legs through revealing splits. All the creations would be fashioned in rich materials of silk, lace, silk crepe, organza and silk tulle. These materials would serve as the most deserving backdrops for Tony Ward ‘s most excellent embroidery work. His are so beautiful due to the fact that they are not overdone. They are light, ornate yet delicate and expressive. All these elements work in unison to form what is quite arguably some of the best work of Tony Ward ‘s career !
