Paris, France – The powerhouse Giorgio Armani moves away from its signature minimalistic style and moves on to rocking baroque style for the Fall/Winter 2017-2018 Haute Couture season.

The silhouette is cut close to the body with thin, narrow trousers, skirts, dresses and jackets. One can notice that the designer isn’t comfortable this season with overdoing the details in the garments.  So every piece is really thought out. The leading motifs are blossoming flowers and whimsical shapes outlined with shining crystals and sequins.  The fabrics used are crisp, but light weight many times with delicate shine. The leading color is jet black and it is accompanied by excitment that goes even deeper with shining embroideries, velvet and ribbons in patent leather. Other alluring colors are purples and light pastels.

The mysterious drama is created with the trapeze-shaped tops and tapering sheer collars. Each garment has a defined waist with the whole outfit being really body conscious. An interesting touch comes in the form of the beanie hats with veils giving a modern touch to the baroque glamour of the collection.
