Riga, Latvia – Estonian designer KAT presents a simple collection with strong tailoring, and a minimal color palette of autumn earth and sky. Cropped and fuller trousers are consistent with the trends seen in Paris and Milan, and the silhouette is one of vintage overtones and a feeling of luxe and ease.
Belts are arguably the centerpiece of the collection. With each outfit tightly cinched to give shape, they make the coats strong too. The designer has put an emphasis on sustainable fabrics. And during re-sees of the collection one can feel the subtle softness in soft felts and viscose suede.
If not directional, the KAT ‘s collection is easily wearable and subtle design nods such as contrasting colors on sleeves that add an unexpected element of interest to simple pieces.
