Paris, France – The house of Issey Miyake and its very talented artistic director Yoshiyuki Miyamae, took the fashion elite to the Grand Palais for the presentation of its new collection. And with that move came an endless showcasing of the artistic vision and technical superiority in fabric design.
To the top model Debra Shaw went the honor of opening the show. Immediately we discover the spectacular array of colors and technologically-created materials as they marvelously join forces to form deliciously billowing pieces for a refreshing showing of A Piece of Memory. Three-dimensional stream stretch fabric which is essentially flattened out in order to create a newer one. This results in a softer and breathtakingly exquisite visual effect. Baked stretch evolved being shown as uneven pleats. “CUBE” fabrication is created by piecing together squares that then laid flat, but take on new life as three-dimensional form when being worn.
Now in its third season with United Nude, Yoshiyuki showcased two new styles.
