Paris, France – Gauchère treats us to an interactive experience in a space filled with music. There it creates a dialogue accompanied by a filmed presentation of its creations, models and movement. The mannequins move expertly throughout the space allowing time to ponder the deconstructed and reconstructed elements on jackets, pants and skirts, which are fused with buttons, doused with pinstripes and a variety of graphic technological blends of lace and open woven cotton.
Thanks to the vision of Gauchère’s founder and artistic director, Marie-Christine Statz, lace compliments the new collection Spring/Summer 2018 with an assortment of garments: shirts, dresses, tops and skirts. Pleated and tiered skirts are paired with prints. The key colors of the collection are blue marine, red and green. Silver metallic make an appearance as well. The result is a body of work that gives new depth and options to active, cosmopolitan women.
