Paris, France – Joining our official coverage of the Fall Winter 2018/19 couture season is the Paris based couturier, Patrick Pham. Now this is a name for society women to know and who still honor the age-old tradition of changing attire several times for the various obligations that appear in one’s daily life.
It is a bright and beautiful day on which we headed to the rue Jean Goujon, just off of the Champs-Elysées for Pham’s show. As the morning sun grew more intense as if to welcome the afternoon, so did the expectations on what Patrick Pham would present in this “Four Seasons” homage collection. Once the music came and the first models appeared, we immediately came face-to-face with day wear ensembles. The lilac skirt suit with the beaded single lapel in black is the perfect lunch suit, while the sports ensemble with pink jersey pants and matching lace wind breaker-inspired jacket is right for getting together with the girls for brunch followed by some late afternoon shopping therapy.
The majority of the day wear includes pants sets worn with hand-tailored jackets or even short sets in vivid red lace. Pham glides seamlessly from day attire and into cocktail wear by relying on his suits, which he embellishes with embroideries. The prefered cocktail ensemble is his short-cropped pants set with matching blazer that has been created in tulle embroidered with white crystal studs and green silk leaves.
Patrick Pham has created a lovely selection of gowns for the evening. This writer has an affection for the black sheath gown worn with a geometric cut-out cape. Though the pink gown with large flower is lovely, this writer prefers the detail of shoulder work that has gone into the creation of the colorful velvet gowns. However all in all, the couturier has created a very consistent collection that is equally pleasing on the eyes.
