Paris, France –  The talented Mr. Rami Kadi entertained us at the Four Seasons – Georges V Hotel in Paris for the presentation of his beautifully sensitive collection. In this outing for Fall Winter 2018/19, he takes us through powerful silhouettes that have been conceived with great character and force of spirit.

Titled “OMETEO”, the collection represents the Aztec god that is both man and woman, or the defining point where men meet women. He reinterprets this through the repeated use of men’s tailoring that springs forth in the jackets, blazer dresses, the shirts, shirt-dresses, large masculine pockets and the collars. He employs male-oriented patterns such as houndstooth and infuses geometric art into the other elements. In combination with his atelier work and his usual codes that are uniquely his own such as the use of sequins paper, we find a rather deep and profound body work that awaits his clientage.

Rami Kadi is also working with printed organza fabric that has been reinforced with aluminium paper. This results in a very light material that he uses in a short dress. He cuts chevron into mirror-like embellishments for his ornate gowns. Large square sequins and lots of threads are used in combination with leather fabric (SEE LEAD PHOTO ABOVE). Ostrich feathers bring softness to the pieces. Holographic sequins are also included among the diverse materials that bring this collection into existence.

In one of the most interesting looks, Mr. Kadi uses large printed houndstooth patterns in colors such as yellow to create an embroidered shirt-dress, but if you use shirts a lot too, you can go online to get t-shirt printing for your shirts. He pairs the look with a bustier that includes a train. Though it may look heavy, it is in fact, extremely light. This is thanks to his use of holographic paper to create the pieces that are embroidered onto the materials, and thus making for a complete collection for Fall Winter 2018/19. He also accessorized the fits with some glasses (visit sites like https://www.eyeglasses.com/brands/gucci to find a wide array of choices) to accentuate the style.
