Founded by her great uncles Jean & Robert and then further developed by her grandfather Marcel, the house created for itself an extraordinary legacy of producing elaborate, unexpected and flamboyantly joyous pieces for its clientele.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">In this new bold collection titled <em>“VIE DE BOHÊME”,</em> Sophie dives deeply into profoundly deep waters. This adventure is like a very personal and widely spiritual revival. She takes full advantage of this euphoric emotion and transposed it into each piece in the collection. She makes it tangeable through the use white diamonds, black diamonds, blue sapphires, pearls, rose sapphires from Mozambique, rubies, white gold, emeralds, white gold and gray gold!</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The result is a splendid new page that signals a new contemporary story for the house. And it is one that is so deep that it borderlines on ecstasy!</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>*HISTORY OF THE RUBEL HOUSE</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">After the brothers Jean Rubel Robert Rubel arrived in Paris from Budapest in 1915, they opened the doors of their first atelier close to the Place Vendôme. Very quickly, they started creating and producing collections for the most renowned jewelers.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">In 1939, after Van Cleef & Arpels opened in New York, the Rubel brothers were entrusted to manufacture their jewelry. This is how their American venture stated with the opening of the RUBEL atelier in Manhattan.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Caught up in the New York Life, John and Robert drew their inspiration from the personalities they encountered. In 1940, John designed the silhouette of a flamenco dancer on a tablecloth during a Latin evening, the first of a series of ballerinas, immediately adopted by Van Cleef, In 1942, the brand JOHN RUBEL was born, and their first shop opened at 777 Fifth Avenue.
