Upon the occasion Mr. Antkowiak was presented with the Golden Flamingo Award for his years of work as a Polish fashion professional.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">One could see a big presentation of clothes coming from the designer’s private archives on both mannequins and live models – those having worked with him in the past and those of the younger generation. The garments came from the 80’s and 90’s, when he worked for the cult fashion house, Moda Polska. The clothes presented for women and men are outrageous showing the huge spectrum of the author’s vision. The menswear could even now be found as extravagant and bold.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The colors are reduced to black, white and gold. The women’s section presented also a huge selection of options wearable or like costumes from simple dresses to rich in form ball gowns. Many of the clothes are outdated by today’s standards of style. However, it’s a great occasion for the younger crowd to see a piece of Polish history in fashion. Moda Polska was always reserved for the elite and not accessible for everyone.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">It’s fun to see a man in his 80’s so full of life and so dedicated to his love of fashion.
