Paris, France – Last week Madonna launched from Quebec, Canada her latest worldwide spectacle, the highly anticipated Rebel Heart Tour. The first sold-out event, which was lauded by massive applause throughout, ended with a standing ovation. Fashion plays a huge role in the overall visual appeal of the tour.
For this tour the “Material Girl” singer decided to work with some of today’s leading fashion names including Alexander Wang, Gucci, Prada, Mui Mui, Moschino, Swarovki, Fausto Puglisi and Nicolas Jebran. But the intriguing aspect behind the fashion comes equally so with the numbers behind the costumes.
And for those who are curious about what it takes to dress Madonna for a tour, her are the staggeringly impressive numbers as provided by Live Nation Global Touring, which organized the Rebel Heart Tour.
And for the accessories, the tour called upon the talents of designers include Lilly e Violetta, Zana Bayne, Lynn Ban, Majesty Black, Julia Clancey, Rachel Freire, Cinza Aria, Gaspar Gloves, Geoffrey Mac, and Michael Schmidt.
REBEL HEART TOUR BY THE NUMBERS
ONE specially designed crucifix shaped stage that flows directly through the audience with a heart shaped “Rebel Heart” at the end of the runway.
2,500,000 Swarovski crystals adorn Madonna’s costumes.
10,000 number of hours of workmanship have gone into creating costumes from Alessandro Michele for Gucci; Alexander Wang; Fausto Puglisi; Jeremy Scott for Moschino; Nicolas Jebran; Miu Miu; Prada and Swarovski.
1200 plus man-hours were needed to apply the Swarovksi crystals to the costumes.
1000 plus wardrobe pieces are required for all the performers onstage.
500 pair of shoes have been custom made.
200 plus pair of fishnets will be worn by Madonna by the time the Rebel Tour wraps.
180 the number of people working and traveling on the Rebel Heart Tour.
60 people make up the costume staff dressing, sewing and adjusting the costumes night after night.
17 Make Up brushes and 5 powder puffs used on Madonna each night.
6 custom designed sets of lashes are used each night.
