Paris, France – This season Marcel Marongiu created a very different look for fashion house Guy Laroche. Taking us away from shorter hemlines that we so associate to the house’s style aesthetic, he treats the silhouettes to much longer hemlines.

We see structured tops that are clearly inspired by the recent oversized trend. Crazy amounts of pleating galore appear in some of the skirts.  A long black dress with long sleeves and that touches the ankles is typical of the lengths found in the collection.

Marongiu uses black, green, tobacco and burgundy to really give depth to the designs, which include a short-cropped jacket in lacquered lambskin leather use to create short-cropped jackets.

Deep burgundy cowhide is used to construct city-perfect coats with large faux turtleneck collars. This adds to the allure of this collection that takes into account the daily activities of a busy woman who must be stylish for all occasions ranging from the office to social events.
