Marongiu introduced us to the new collection with leather dresses done in two and three tones. His jumpsuits have been created to with “cross-your-back” straps. Their lower portions range from pencil-thin legs to slightly larger volumes. Later he introduces both summer raffia and fabrics with laser cut-out motifs that are used to create side panels in other dresses and skirts.  He crosses the prints with the major colors of the collection, which includes navy, butter yellow, sky blue, blue-grey, eggshell and claret red. And as the collection nears its end, he introduces pied-de-poule and circular form-printed maxi-dresses, which renew with the bikini top forms.

Once the show had ended, Marongiu was welcomed to the catwalk with the usually thunderous applause to which he has rightly become accustomed. This is his reward for a collection whose relevance to future trends cannot be denied.
