Riga, Latvia – In her new collection for the fashion house Narciss, the Latvian designer Alise Trautmane is relying on lots of dresses for the season. Whether short or long, the house is giving us as many frocks as possible for Spring/Summer 2017.
This writer likes the way in which the house of Narciss has created a variety of pieces and choices. I live for the satin top black dress with no sleeves, its little satin bands and lace embellishments. It is extremely womanly and works very well on the female frame as it is set in perpetual motion. The little strappy dress in silk coco is exciting too with its large belt in reptile skin. The two strike a huge contract to the other dresses of longer lengths and looser fits. It has a street sense too thanks to the addition of sports like jackets. But this is the magic of the collection. It manages to moves effortlessly between sexiness and energy to perkiness and girlishness! And in the end it all works out well.
