Paris, France – In the Xuan couture collection for Fall Winter 2017/18, we find a refreshing body of work with great potential for developing a clientage around it.

In this Xuan’s first official outing on the haute couture calendar, we see the designer bringing big volumes to life. The work is nearly entirely realized by hand as per the rich tradition of haute couture. Delicate chiffon is reworked on the body to create extremely eye-catching silhouettes. Some of them gain in volume as the fabric is piled on and on. This results in beautiful pieces that demands our attention.

Xuan gives us dresses, skirts and pants that are made by hand. Some have deconstructed edges for character. One has to remark that the pieces and silhouettes are free from elaborate embroideries. Instead in their presence, we find in their place carefully thought out appliqués that have been created as animals, etc. And the looks have been simply styled with large, Five gallon hates created in raffia.
