Paris, France – Jean-Charles de Castelbajac (JCDC) took us to ultra exclusive Place Vendome in Paris for the presentation of his exciting and extremely strategized collection. The new outing isn’t really so much about dresses, skirts, and jumpsuits. He’s clearly decided to abandon that territory to the other major names. So he is placing betting for strong sales by providing fantastic outerwear, which is the other essential for Fall Winter 2014/15.
JCDC does a shortly cropped knit top in navy with slim sleeves. The skirts all tend to be long. They have large, loose braiding as details on the sleeves and in the back. This braiding along with large rectangular loops would go on to be repeated as a unifying leitmotif throughout the collection. Kermit green, wool, mohair and tobacco are the colors and fabrics that would also be recurrent.
Again all the dresses and skirts are commercially safe. They can much worn with colorful, the happy outerwear that dominated the collection. In fact, it is where the excitement comes in.
