Paris, France – Jakarta based designer Tex Saverio came close to making a dream debut in Paris during the fashion weej. He appeared on the official fashion week calendar. He had the right public relations. He chose to show the collection at the prestigious Automobile Club of Paris. All save one essential element present for the perfect debut:  a captivating collection.

Texsaverio presented a collection dominated by black and gold.  Lots of embroideries appeared in more than half of the collection from the evening gowns and cocktail dresses to the cape. Computer-graphics and lace-like, cut-away patterns were featured through tout the body of the collection.

The shapes are all A-line based. The trendiest element of the collection came in stretch leather leggings and pencil skirts. Together they are certain to form the commercial backbone of the collection.

The collection overall did not add anything new or exceptional to the world of fashion.  This is a truly missed opportunity for the house, which benefited from a full capacity audience that came out for its Paris debut. It is such a shame that the designer allowed the top journalists to see silhouettes with poorly constructed pieces.
